The Balmoral Show is one of Northern Ireland's most loved annual events. For many, it is a firm fixture in the calendar and a tradition that brings together families, communities, exhibitors and visitors from across the country.
But even the most established events need to keep evolving. With increasing competition for people's time and attention, the challenge was to refresh the Balmoral Show's creative presence in a way that felt bold, relevant and engaging, while still respecting the heritage and familiarity that makes the event so special.
The opportunity was to reinvigorate the Balmoral Show's brand campaign with a creative that would capture attention, build excitement and broaden the event's appeal.
The campaign needed to speak to loyal visitors who already know and love the show, while also reaching new audiences who may not fully understand the scale, variety and experience on offer. Key objectives included increasing public attendance, strengthening the brand identity, driving online engagement, supporting stakeholder and partner promotion, and showcasing that there is more to the Balmoral Show than people might expect.
Gone Rogue developed a refreshed brand campaign designed to bring new energy to the Balmoral Show while building on the strength of previous creative activity. The campaign focused on a bold, eye-catching and emotionally engaging visual direction that highlighted the breadth of the event experience. From agriculture and food to family fun, entertainment, shopping and community, the creative was developed to show that Balmoral is much more than a traditional agricultural show.
Our role included creative concept development, key messaging, campaign planning, asset production, rollout support, performance monitoring and reporting. We also worked closely with the client to ensure the campaign was flexible, consistent and easy to activate across multiple channels.
The creative was built around showing audiences the full Balmoral experience: the moments, energy and variety that make the event such an important part of Northern Ireland's cultural calendar. Rather than focusing on one narrow aspect of the show, it opened the story to highlight that Balmoral offers something for everyone: confident, contemporary and full of life, while remaining true to the event's roots.
The campaign received very positive feedback and built on previous creative work to give the Balmoral Show a refreshed, more engaging presence, communicating that there is more to Balmoral than many people realise, and giving stakeholders and partners a strong, flexible platform to bring the 2026 campaign to life with consistency and impact.
